Our Cancer STP work stream became a Cancer Alliance in November 2016 and as part of their early work bid for transformation funding to support the earlier diagnosis of Cancer. The bid was successful and as a result the Cancer Alliance will receive additional funding to deliver a number of interventions with the aim of increasing the proportion of cancers diagnosed at an early stage. The development of a Social Movement in Cancer Prevention, Awareness and Support is one of those interventions. The key requirements: For provider(s) to work in partnership with local communities to co-produce and deliver a Social Movement in Cancer Prevention, Awareness and Support. Social movement In this context we are referring to Social movement as an organic process rather than one which 'nudges' people in making decisions.
