However, the housing provision in the adopted Plan falls short of meeting the full objectively assessed housing need (OAN) for the Plan area, which in August 2014 was assessed at 505 homes/ year. To address the shortfall, the Plan included an explicit commitment that the Council will undertake a Local Plan review within five years to aim to ensure that OAN is met. \\n \\n The proposed Local Plan review will extend the Plan period beyond 2029 and will seek to increase housing provision to meet the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) requirements. The HEDNA will provide a key part of the evidence base to support this work. It will also inform housing and economic policies at a local level.
