In plan a new corridor connects the existing hall with the new extension. The corridor runs the full length of the building and services a number of changing areas. There is a small amount of ancillary space. In section the new roof follows the line of the existing roof thus forming a large roof void. Construction is relatively simple with a steel frame and block work walls with timber cladding to match the School's new music building.
