The Council has an annual revenue budget of approximately £1bn and capital spend of approximately £60m. In carrying out its activities, it is important that the correct VAT treatment is applied on its financial transactions e.g. business or non-business. The Council is also responsible for the VAT administration and advice for both Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service, and Peak District National Park Authority.
