Bus shelters must be appropriate for the local environment into which they are to be installed. They must be strong, robust and durable and capable of withstanding typical weather conditions with a high resistance to vandalism Shelters should also be capable of accommodating Real Time Passenger Information (RTPI) displays which will provide live information on bus arrival times. All shelters should meet DDA specification (Equalities Act 2010) and be safe, secure and fit for use on the highway. Delivery and installation of bus shelters, including any associated groundworks is also required. We identify up to 5 existing bus shelters which will need to be removed and replaced.
