The whole of England's population should be served by the IUC services by April 2019. Harrogate and Rural District (HaRD) CCG will commission the GP OOH service to support delivery of the new integrated urgent care requirements for Primary Care by 2019. The overarching aim of the OOH service will be to provide urgent Primary Care services outside core General Medical Services (GMS) contract provision hours every day of the year. The provider will be expected to deliver healthcare consistently in line with quality and safety standards as defined in National Quality Requirements (NQRs) in the delivery of Out of Hours services (July 2006), with the understanding the NQRs are to be superseded by the IUC service specification when fully implemented. It is currently envisioned the CCG will award a five year contract with the option to extend of up to two years. The budget envelope is set at no more than £1.2m per annum per CCG.
