CTP is a component of NHS England's Digital Urgent and Emergency Care Programme in transforming Urgent and Emergency Care. This PIN is subsequent to PIN 2015/S 219 39961 issued in November 2015 - Transforming urgent and emergency care services in England. The NHS Five Year Forward View explains the need to redesign urgent and emergency care services in England for people of all ages with physical and mental health problems, and sets out the new models of care needed to do so.
