The overall aim of the service is to provide appropriate levels of care and support to the tenants living at the scheme to help them retain and manage their health, independence and well-being. The service must ensure that on-site care and support is available to tenants living at the scheme 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including bank holidays and weekends. The service is required to provide the following two key elements: • A core round the clock service that can respond to emergencies or provide for unplanned care needs that may occur within the scheme. • Availability of a flexible and high quality service that has the capacity and ability to deliver planned care and support to meet the assessed care needs of tenants within the scheme, as required.
