The majority of adults will access community based interventions. However, for a small number of complex adults who have not been successful in community settings, managed access to inpatient detoxification is currently advised in relevant Guidelines (see tender documents ). The Guidelines recommend that access to these resources forms part of care planned service delivery. It is proposed to establish a framework for Detox with 24 hour cover; medically assisted withdrawal from opiates and alcohol.
