The contract is to run from 1January 2018 for a period of 2 years with the option to extend for a further period of up to 2 years at the sole discretion of the Authority. The Island's Independent Health Advocacy Service provides the statutory advocacy duty on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council, to help people who wish to make a complaint about the NHS. It supports individuals to express their views and pursue their health complaint taking due regard of the NHS complaints process. The annual budget for the Provision of Independent Health Complaints Advocacy on the Isle of Wight is between the following parameters: £40,000 - £45,000 The decision has been taken to disclose the annual budget for the service and ask that tenderers demonstrate how they can deliver the service within this budget allocation The Authority is unable to consider any submission that does not come within this figure; however, tenderers are able to submit under the allocated budget. The closing date for receipt of Tenders is 14:00Hrs on 8 November 2017. Additional information: The Freedom of Information Act (FOI) 2000 which came into force on 1.1.2005 applies to the Council. If any tenderer considers that any information supplied is commercially sensitive/confidential, this should be highlighted and reasons given. A schedule is provided in ITT documents where tenderers can record and submit this information to the Council. In such cases the relevant material will, in response to FOI requests, be examined in light of exemptions provided for in this act. The contract shall be made in English and according to English Law and subject to the jurisdiction of the English Courts. Any values listed in II.1.5 and II.2.6) are indicative and are given for the whole contract period and are for the maximum budget figure.
