The 2016 Sandwell Arts Festival engaged many people with artistic activities and events and the Sandwell Brand is becoming increasingly established with a wider participatory audience year on year. Sandwell Arts Festival, now in its eighth year, is a celebration of local heroes and an opportunity for the diverse communities of Sandwell to come together creatively exploring local arts and culture. The principle aims of Sandwell Arts Festival are to: o Link local artists and communities to national artists. o Promote engagement with local communities and the arts across Sandwell. o Cultivate the legacy and brand of the Sandwell Arts Festival o Provide opportunities for employment and development of local artists. o Develop the identity of Sandwell Arts Caf? as a cultural hub in Sandwell.
