The contract will involve improvements to the design of a prototype microfluidic cartridge to ensure reliability and repeatability of measurement. The cartridge will enable simultaneous measurement of 3 biomarkers and include various processing stages e.g. volumising, mixing and measurement. Following testing of the design in conjunction with the UWE team, 50 moulded cartridges are to be delivered ready for trials with patient samples.
