The core CCTV infrastructure provides a solid platform for development, but is in need of a substantial technology upgrade to future-proof it. Rather than simply procure a supply and maintenance contract to support this upgrade, the Council believes there is the opportunity to realise the commercial potential that it, as a local authority, does not necessarily have the expertise or resources to maximise income. The object of this procurement is to enable the Council to: • Reduce annual communications costs; • Reduce annual maintenance costs; • Minimise capital costs for installing new cameras; • Improve image quality, including the evidential quality of images shared with law enforcement partners; • Increase flexibility; • Increase service resilience; • Enable new income streams. The Council is seeking to let a five year contract, with the option to extend for a further period to 31st May 2024, with a single provider that will bring commercial skills and as well as the design and installation of hardware. ## CPV classification Repair and maintenance services of security equipment Source Contracts Finder (UK) [View official notice](https://www.contractsfinder.service.gov.uk/notice/4b462d8f-1e25-4f53-8f14-8947cdd989c6) Never miss a tender like this again Get AI summaries, deadline alerts and a bid pipeline for tenders matched to your business.
