The Confederation is the body that local GPs have chosen to use to consolidate the local primary care Enhanced Services, reduce variation between practices & every practice is a member of the GP Confederation. For these reasons the CCG's current conclusion is that the GP Confederation is the only provider capable of delivering these Enhanced Services & that purchasing these services from the Confederation is the best way to make use of local assets to improve social value & improve the health of the local population. Therefore the CCG intends to negotiate directly with the GP Confederation for the award of a single contract.
