The Council require Asset Valuations to be undertaken for both the Commercial and the Residential Portfolios. The core of the Council's Asset Valuation Programme consists of a 5 year rolling programme, whereby approximately 20% of the stock is valued each year. In addition, annual valuations are to be undertaken for all the housing stock, investment, surplus properties and properties held for sale (IFRS 13). Further valuations are also undertaken on properties whereby substantial capital expenditure has been incurred during the financial year.
