There are 12 GP Practices in Rushcliffe. The CCG has a strong track record of engaging the public in commissioning; we have worked with the voluntary and community sector since 1999, with the remit to support wider engagement with the Rushcliffe population. Patient and public involvement is overseen by Rushcliffe CCG's Governing Body and a Patient Cabinet which is a sub-committee of the Governing Body. Patients are involved in various task and finish groups and workstreams and through our Ebulletin opportunities to get involved are promoted widely. The CCG also supports the 'Active' Group which consists of representatives of each of the patient participation groups within the 12 GP practices. Rushcliffe is also a Multi-specialty Community Provider (MCP) Vanguard under the name Principia. The MCP Vision is: "To provide a better quality of care for the people of Rushcliffe through an innovative, patient-centred, coordinated care delivery system, which is designed to improve our communities' health outcomes, increase our clinician and staff satisfaction and at the same time moderate the cost of delivering that care."
