The project will facilitate better understanding of LF technology learning rates in offshore wind (OSW) technologies and hence allow better prediction the long-term cost reduction potential in the renewable sector. Specific outcomes will be improved predictions for load factors beyond 2020, which will enable BEIS to identify potential implications of technical improvements in OSW to policy.
