The contract atrted on 09 January 2017 for a period of one year with the option to extend for a further period of up to one year at the sole discretion of the Authority. The purpose of the Workplace health Improvement Programme is to support lifestyle behaviour change for individuals by engaging with the Island's businesses to improve the health and wellbeing of employees, through reducing levels of smoking-related illness, obesity, disability, premature death and health inequality. People's general health and wellbeing will be improved by introducing workplace policies, practices and interventions that: • Encourages a leadership and management style that supports and improves wellbeing • Provide NHS Health Checks to those staff who are eligible as set out in section 4.3 and 4.4.
