The areas have been selected by a scanner process and routine visual inspections. A core programme of works has been identified, along with a further list of reserve schemes that may be completed by the successful contractor, subject to funding. The Contractor will be required to undertake the following main elements of work: - • Weed killing in advance of the works • Removal of road markings as required by the process. • Sweeping of carriageway, removal of vegetation and preparing to lay surfacing. • Laying of Micro Asphalt or equivalent proprietary surfacing material including regulating. • Jetting and cleaning of gullies. • Raising existing ironwork to new levels. • Reinstatement of existing road markings with minor alterations as specified by the Council. • Management of pedestrian and vehicular traffic including road closures with diversion routes.
