The overall aim is to provide a return on the Authority's investment, improve efficiency, remove end of life equipment and plant, improve controls, reduce duplication, reduce maintenance costs and requirements . The current 600 kW boiler capacity is subject to review by the contractor to ensure that the maximum demand from the facility can be met by any replacement system. The 600 kW is based on the current boiler sizes on site but may not represent an appropriate size and a smaller system is acceptable if it meets peak demand requirements. This should be clearly identified in any documents.
