In January 2017, Friends of Valley Gardens (FOVG), in partnership with Harrogate Borough Council (HBC) and with the help of the Japanese Garden Society, started a three year project to restore the Japanese Garden. The Project Team, made up of representatives of HBC and FOVG, are seeking to appoint a Main Contractor to carry out and oversee the bulk of the groundwork required to restore the Japanese Garden and to liaise with other contractors regarding their individual input.
