[More contracts for small businesses and VCSEs](https://tendernation.io/opportunities/for-small-businesses) ## About this tender The Isle of Man Government invites expressions of interest from experienced and qualified organisations to provide the operation of the Salisbury Street Care Home with Nursing to the Department of Health and Social Care. The care home at Salisbury Street, Douglas, Isle of Man has 68 single en-suite bedrooms. The Department is seeking to block commission 40 beds funded at benefit rate for the term of the contract. The Providers may set their own market based rate for the remaining 28 beds. The Provider must ensure that 40 of the 68 bedrooms are used for referrals from social workers for people at critical or substantial need. These rooms will be purchased at a rate that does not exceed the maximum amount of income available through eligible Social Security benefit. The Provider will rent the premises from which the service is delivered from Isle of Man Government under a 5 year lease agreement, which through negotiation could be extended for a further 5 year term. All leasing and associated costs will be the responsibility of the provider and therefore must be included in the charges. The aim of this tender is to ensure the provision of high quality, safe services that meet the quality outcomes and safeguarding responsibilities of the Commissioner. One of the main objectives of a care home with nursing is that it shall provide support to people to deliver outcomes which allow them to live as full and independent a life as possible. The Service should also enc...idualised and personalised way. All the types of support that are discussed below should be delivered in such a way that they are in line with individual Service User's needs, choices and preferences and are subject to appropriate risk assessment. It is the expectation that the Provider will hold and adhere to the policies and procedures as prescribed in the Adult Care Home minimum standards (as amended) and the Provider is expected to provide the Commissioner with copies of these Policies and Procedures. The Provider must comply with the Isle of Man Regulation of Care Act 2013 ("RCA2013") and all associated Regulations and Standards. The Department will not accept applications from Providers who, in any jurisdiction, have failed to meet a compliance notice in the last 2 years, have been prosecuted or had a service registration cancelled. The Department will be holding a Bidder's Day on the Island on Monday 22nd August 2016, eligible bidders will be advised the time and location of the event in due course.
