The requirement was for four types of advocacy: ### Care Act 2014 Advocacy Independent Mental Capacity Act Advocacy (under the Mental Capacity Act) ### LD / MH Advocacy ### Appropriate Adult Advocacy All four types of advocacy were tendered as a single contract. The contract commenced on 1st April 2016 and will be for a period of 3 years, with an optional extension of up to 2 years, to be exercised at the Council’s discretion.
