The visors and battery charger kits are required by users of the FCA hardware to ensure the equipment is suitable to be fielded in extreme weather conditions and to allow flexibility for fielding of the FCA on operations. This contract was placed on a single source basis; the visors and battery charger kits required for the Fire Control Application are proprietary equipment to GRID Defence Systems Limited and must be compatible with the Fire Control Application Units, which are also produced by GRID Defence Systems Limited.
