In order for us to reduce the consequences of such failures all critical systems of which Trend is included, are being upgraded to Windows 7. The Trend software must be reinstalled, and relicensed on changeover of the hardware, and results in a cost due to engineering time, and a relicensing fee charged by Trend. The Trend BMS system is the way critical equipment and Plant alarms are monitored and actioned.
