Several major hardware components are already owned or specified for order, new and unused, by the AMRC for this purpose: • KUKA KR1000 LR750 Titan Robot • KRC4 Controller • Siemens 840DSL Machine Tool Controller • Renishaw RTLA-S self-adhesive absolute scale linear encoders with Resolute read-heads Tenderer is to design and install a high-accuracy robotics system using high-accuracy external linear encoders to measure a KUKA Titan motion, the derivation of new kinematics, the design and build of a machining end-effector, plus the undertaking of a full setup, safety cell and calibration for this system.
