An optimal support solution is required which provides best value for money, and tenders will be sought for two different types of support solution to test the market based on (1) a traditional post design service (core plus discreet tasking) in addition to Repair and Spares support and (2) a Contractor Logistic Support Service. SCTS comprises of many equipments e.g. data distribution units, heading/Pitch/Roll/Log/windspeed & direction repeaters, azimuth circles, control units, etc, which are deployed across a high number of RN Surface and Sub-Surface platforms. This 1970s technology provides coarse and fine synchro transmissions from the ships compass systems to numerous navigation and combat system equipments.
