Funeral Service provision is required for patients who die but: - have no next of kin; - relatives cannot be traced; - relatives cannot afford to pay or are unwilling to take responsibility; - are babies under 24 weeks gestation The Trust wishes the successful contractor to provide a highly professional, quality, compassionate, sensitive service for the deceased patients, ensuring that the final arrangements for them are provided in a dignified manner whether or not mourners are in attendance. The requirement for Funeral Services varies each year and the number of instructions cannot be specified or guaranteed.
