[More contracts for small businesses and VCSEs](https://tendernation.io/opportunities/for-small-businesses) ## About this tender ### CONTRACT DETAILS ### SCOPE OF THE WORKS St Helens Council is seeking to appoint single Principal Contractor (with two reserve contractors) to carry out minor adaptation works to various individual domestic properties to improve facilities and accessibility for disabled occupants. The works are to be carried out in privately owned properties as well as to the public sector housing stock throughout the Borough of St Helens. The works will comprise individual work orders for minor alteration work to doors, gates and paved areas to improve facilities and accessibility for disabled occupants. There will be minimal design input required from the successful contractor and the work orders fully referenced to the pre-priced schedule of works. Providers must have a secure on line portal for receipt of orders for works details ### CONTRACT PERIOD The duration of the contract will be a maximum of 4 years with an initial contract period of 3 years commencing on 1st September 2016 and completing 31st August 2019. The contract period includes an option to extend for an additional 1 year. Should the council intend to take up the option, the contractor shall be notified in writing within the period stated in the Contract Particulars prior to the commencement of the extension. If no such notification is issued the contract shall automatically expire after the initial Contract Period. ### ESTIMATED CONTRACT VALUE The total value of the works is between approximately £60,000.00 and £70,000.00 per annum.
