This will involve the management of gas monitoring stations in the UK, the identification of baseline gas concentrations, the modelling of GHG emissions, uncertainty analysis and comparisons with the UK’s official GHG Inventory. - Lot 1 Management and Data Collection at Mace Head: This Lot should provide high-frequency monitoring of the atmospheric concentrations of the Kyoto basket of greenhouse gases (GHG), covering the UK, Ireland and Continental Europe at Mace Head. Mace Head is a long-running GHG monitoring station on the west coast of Ireland, run in partnership with the University of Galway. Monitoring data from this station should be made publically available and also fed into the analysis of this project (Lot 3) for use in verifying the UK’s GHG Inventory.
