The vehicles are used for a range of services including the collection of bulky fly tips and the collection of litter from high speed road cleansing, the delivery and collection of Recycle 4 Dorset, Garden Waste and Trade bins to residential and commercial addresses. The DWP is committed reducing the number of journeys to disposal sites and depots and vehicles with a minimum of 3,000kg payload have been identified as a key requirement for the Tippers. Dorset County Council will not accept bids from Suppliers if the complete vehicle offered cannot reach the minimum achievable payload of 3,000kg.
