There is a clear vision for Education in Poole supported by a strong School Improvement Strategy. The team of advisers provide effective challenge and support to schools and governing bodies within the context of a School monitoring and Intervention policy. Support to schools is agreed in partnership with schools and academies and provided accordingly. The Governor Services Adviser runs an extensive programme of training courses. Some of these, such as safeguarding and health & safety are delivered by in-house suppliers. Other more specialist courses require expertise in areas such as school inspection, self evaluation, and governor effectiveness. Organisations are able to bid for one of the following lots: Lot 1 - Improvement and Intervention Services Lot 2 - Governor Training Programme Approved List Anticipated Start Date is 2nd November 2015 for a period of 2 years with an option to extend annually for up to 3 years subject to annual review, funding availability and satisfactory performance throughout the contract period.
