Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement, and the contract will be awarded on the basis of the most economically advantageous tender. The Public Services (Social Value) Act 2012 (¿the Act¿) imposes a duty upon the Council where the European procurement regulations apply to the contract in question to consider, at pre-procurement stage: - how what is proposed to be procured might improve the economic, social and environmental well-being of the Councils area; and - how, in conducting the process of the procurement, it might act with a view to securing that improvement.
