To include direct access diagnostics for GP referrals where appropriate The CCGs are considering commissioning additional capacity for the following specialties: Digestive Diseases, ENT, Gynaecology, Neurology, Ophthalmology and Urology The CCGs are considering commissioning additional capacity in the following models: Option A: Complete pathways; from referral, through treatment to discharge, including any necessary diagnostics, in one or more specialties from the list above Option B: Community based assessment and diagnosis, followed by either discharge to referrer, treatment or onward referral for treatment, in one or more of the specialties listed above Option C: Community based diagnostics hub providing one or more of the diagnostic modalities listed above. Option D: Mobile community based assessment, diagnostic and treatment service in one or more specialties from the list above Please note that this is for capacity over and above that already provided.
