The 59th BFI London Film Festival [bfi.org.uk/lff](http://www.bfi.org.uk/lff) (LFF), is the UK’s largest public film event, presenting Academy Award-winning premieres with A-list film talent in attendance, during 12 days in October every year. The BFI also delivers a wide range of special public, exclusive Member access, and corporate events throughout the year at its BFI Southbank site [whatson.bfi.org.uk/Online/default.asp](https://whatson.bfi.org.uk/Online/default.asp) (BFI SB). These include red carpet premieres; high-level talent on-stage interviews and artistic performances; VIP receptions requiring full-building closure; and large-scale conferences and product launches. BFI Southbank hosts approximately 60 events throughout the year requiring special event security. In 2014, The 58th BFI London Film Festival welcomed audiences of over 163,300 across 17 London cinema sites, as well as an additional UK-wide audience of over 12,000. The Festival screened a total of 248 fiction and documentary features, including 18 World Premieres, 9 International Premieres, 35 European Premieres and 19 Archive films, and screenings of 148 live action and animated shorts, all from 70 countries. It welcomed 772 filmmaker guests over half of which came from international territories. Industry screenings and events were attended by 1107 industry delegates and 906 press delegates. The BFI is tendering to engage a provider of a full service solution for concurrent red carpet event security project management; film talent close protection security; outdoor and in-cinema crowd control; and VIP reception access security during the 59th BFI London Film Festival, and on an as-required basis for cultural and corporate events at the BFI Southbank throughout the year.
