Housing related support is provided to prevent people from requiring a more intensive or institutional form of care or support. It is also provided as a means of addressing an emergency situation (e.g. domestic violence refuge and homeless accommodation). 1.3 The overall aim of providing housing related support is to prevent homelessness and provide individuals with the tools and skills to move to or maintain independence, reducing reliance on statutory services. A provider information session will take place on Monday 10th August starting 12:30 at Sunderland Civic Centre. Details of the session are included in the Information Session flyer included as part of the documentation. Additional information: Sunderland City Council are seeking to put in place a contract for the Provision of Housing Related Support In Reach for Older People.
