The initial contract period will be for two years, with an option to extend this by 12 months at the sole discretion of the Council. The Council intend to issue contracts for testing and inspection to two separate contractors. This is intended to offer flexibility to the vehicle owners; and help ensure service standards remain competitive. It is up to the vehicle owners / drivers which contractor they use.
