The future vision for MSK services in Wakefield includes: • Good outcomes for patients and good patient experience • Integrated services • Clear, well managed patient flows and clinical pathways • Accurate and early diagnosis • Embedding supported self-care and physical activity • Reducing duplication • Care closer to home • Accurate and timely data to support service development The Community MSK service will be part of this longer term vision, providing a community based service with access to community consultant-led orthopaedics - preferably within the same locations. The service will provide comprehensive, evidence based MSK services for the triage, assessment and treatment of muscle ligament and non-operative orthopaedic and rheumatology conditions.
