We are exploring policy options for revising Building Regulations to update minimum standards on the energy efficiency of boilers and heating controls. For example, when a household replaces their old boiler, there may be a requirement for all new boilers installed to meet a set energy efficiency standard, and for the heating system to include a minimum package of controls (e.g. a central programmer, room thermostat and Thermostatic Radiator Valves (TRVs)). A wide range of different boiler technologies and heating controls are available on the market. The minimum standards that would be required by the new regulation have yet to be determined. In addition, the point of boiler replacement offers an opportunity for households to be provided with information and advice on ways in which they could improve the energy efficiency of their home. For example, through suppliers providing advice on replacement radiators or home insulation. We wish to explore what types of additional advice may be beneficial among different groups of households. ## CPV classification Research and development services and related consultancy services Source Contracts Finder (UK) [View official notice](https://www.contractsfinder.service.gov.uk/notice/8d4b516b-adc9-11e6-9901-0019b9f3037b) Never miss a tender like this again Get AI summaries, deadline alerts and a bid pipeline for tenders matched to your business.
