The procurement team is a part of the Portfolio Office which is based in Birmingham. The Portfolio office incumbencies disciples from Corporate Programme Management, Finance and Procurement. The three disciples work closely together to deliver strategic support and services across eight programmes. Ofwat is undertaking business transformation project and as part of that project we have recently move to hot desking , collaborative meeting spaces and flexible work environment. We forecast a peak in workload and support to delivery of the 2016-17 Operational Plan, budget setting and supporting a number of other financial activities. We are there for seeking temporary additional resource. We are looking for Interim Senior Management Account with significant financial experience in the public sector and budget setting/business planning. ### JOB PURPOSE AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - To work with the Principal Finance, and engage with internal stakeholders to deliver the 2016-17 Operational Plan. - To liaise with the workforce planning project to ensure that the operational plan workstrem is aligned to prevent duplication of work to Ofwat colleagues. - To work alongside the Senior Associate Finance to provide support in setting of the 2016-17 budget allocations. - To work alongside the Senior Associate Finance to provide support in completion of statutory reporting. - To work with the Director of Finance on financial benchmarking as required. ### LEADERSHIP • To communicate clearly, persuasively and effectively both within and beyond Ofwat ### CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITIES • To contribute to the overall success of Ofwat. • To support the project board/ division/team in the operational planning, monitoring & delivery of projects and programmes in accordance with Ofwat strategic priorities. • To promote a positive image of Ofwat externally. • To be responsible for having a positive approach to team working. • To adopt a visibly positive approach to stakeholders (both internally and externally) in both behaviour and outputs. • To provide constructive and effective challenge across Ofwat. • To actively pursue and work in support of the Ofwat strategy at all times. • To support the matrix management operating structure through a flexible approach to work. ### STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY • Interacts using discretion & customer-facing skills with a range of contacts inside Ofwat. • Proactive management of internal relationships.
