The GP with a Special Interest in Substance Misuse (GPwSI) will provide pharmacological approaches based upon individually assessed need, with a range of clinical responses specifically for substance misuse including pharmacological approaches for detoxification, stabilisation and reduction regimes, with integrated psychiatric and/or psychological and physical care. The GPwSI will attend a weekly Tuesday Morning Multi-disciplinary Team (MDT) meeting for 2 hours a week for approximately 46 weeks per year.
