In talking to cities and industry about areas where they want and need to innovate, the Catapult has identified a strong demand for new ways of doing land-use planning. There is a strong central Government push for city administrations to better facilitiate housing and other development as well as engage and involve neighbourhoods and citizens in the planning process. These drivers and moves towards a more ‘zonal’ plan-making approach mean that a data-driven, transparent and digitally-delivered is within reach. Future Cities Catapult currently uses SalesForce as an Opportunity and Project Management tool. We have customised ‘pages’ within SalesForce to manage and progress Opportunities which may or may not become Projects. We are not using any ‘add-ons or ‘apps’, just standard out-of-the-box functionality. There are a number of functionality improvements the Catapult wishes to make. Before the Catapult considers purchasing any new systems or add-on or apps or investing in any development of the existing system, the Catapult is seeking to procure a consultant to provide consultancy services to undertake a requirements gathering exercise.
