The commissioned organisation will lead on the project management, budget management and operational delivery of the carnival. The commissioned organisation will work closely with another service provider - the Creative Director. The Creative Director will be responsible for ensuring that the carnival successfully reflects the creativity of the local carnival sector and will also lead on delivery of innovative community engagement initiatives. This close working relationship will ensure that the requirements of the performers (managed by the Creative Director) will be incorporated into the operational plans (devised and implemented by the Event Management company) and equally, that the performers will be fully aware of what is required of them. The project will include a street parade culminating in a safe and inclusive finale event with a programmed stage or sound systems and street traders on one or more of Hackney’s public spaces.
