Predominantly funded by the Skills Funding Agency (an agency of the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills), Portsmouth City Council's Community Learning Service (CLS) seeks to provide a high quality community learning programme for adults (aged 19+) which meets local need. The programme focusses on widening participation, developing communities, improving health and well-being, increasing skills and supporting personal progression. The Community Learning Service does this through a combination of directly delivered provision and sub-contracted provision, a model it seeks to continue. This Quotation exercise seeks to secure suitably experienced and competent providers of adult learning (post-19) to contract with the Council's CLS. The main headings under which work will be required are: the development, delivery and evaluation of post-19 Community Learning programmes. The Council is targeting to have awarded the contract by 15th July 2015 with a subsequent commencement date of 3rd August 2015.
