Funding for the project is currently being sought via the South East Local Enterprise Partnership and Essex County Council, with the support of a land gift also coming from Stansted Airport Ltd. The top end project budget to realise the centre will be in the region of £7,500,000. Once open the centre will become the preferred provider of skills training and apprenticeships for organisations placed at the airport and surrounding area. The centre will also play a key role in supporting the recruitment of local people into opportunities across the airport.
