It moves the existing town centre one way system traffic from Clive Road onto the new link to the south of Gravesend Station. The scheme removes severance and integrates the Station and public transport facilities with town centre. The south side of the Station drop -off area is improved with other public real improvements to Clive Road and old Rathmore Road. The scheme complements earlier improvements to the Civic Centre area between Stone Street and Windmill Street.
