Demonstrate feasibility of a portable and efficient test system to support lubricant condition based maintenance. The project shall demonstrate the potential for a novel rugged hand-held external lubricant condition monitor. The key deliverables of the project are as follows: - Experimental results demonstrating the degree of sensitivity to changes in lubricant viscosity analogous to initial degradation. - Experimental results demonstrating potential to operate sensor in wide environmental conditions without significant impact to performance. - Study to calculate operating performance of a hand-held field test unit.
