Penrose Student Halls of Residence comprises of 26 houses and 12 flats that house between 4-6 people. The buildings were constructed in the late 1980’s. The works will look to cover the following: • Refurbish 38 bathroom and toilet areas and reviewing better use of space. • Refurbish 38 Kitchen areas and provide better use of space. There is a kitchen that was refurbished a year ago that should be used as a standard going forward with minor tweaks. The kitchen is based in No. 34 • Decorations throughout including 200 study bedrooms and common areas • New flooring • Review and recommendations on new LED lighting • New/additional furniture to limited areas. • New fire detection system back to a central point.
