## About this tender

The Estate Regeneration Programme facilitates the delivery of high quality new homes and facilities for Hackney’s residents. Many of the estates in this programme require existing buildings to be demolished before transferring a cleared site to a Developer / Contractor to progress the redevelopment proposals.

The Colville Estate is subject to a masterplan to redevelop the existing residential blocks to provide a comprehensive regeneration of the Estate and new homes for existing and new residents. The masterplan will be delivered in phases and this Award of Contract report relates to Phase 2 A&B, which includes four residential blocks. A CPO process has commenced to seek vacant possession of the remaining units in these blocks which are still occupied. Upon vacant possession, the Council will start the necessary surveys of the blocks pre-demolition. This will be followed by the demolition of the blocks in order to prepare the site for construction.

The following activities formed the scope of works required and are included in the schedule that formed part of the tender:

- Pre demolition audit
- 24 hour site security
- Health & Safety CDM services (Excluding F10)
- Demolition Risk Management
- Deconstruction
- Breaking out foundations
- Site clearance
- Final survey and record drawings

In addition, the Framework Demolition Contractor will provide all services and responsibilities as described in Appendix 5 and Appendix 6 under the Framework (“call off”) contract at the rates and prices set out in the pricing document submitted as part of their tender.
