The successful Contractor is required to provide a flexible chauffeuring service, within the Erewash Borough boundary and, on some occasions, outside of the Erewash Borough boundary. Out of Borough journeys are mainly within the County of Derbyshire e.g. Buxton, Derby, Swadlincote but includes one journey each year to London. There may well be occasions when requests for attendance are required at short notice and therefore flexibility is required. As well as providing a chauffeuring service, the successful Contractor will be required to accompany the civic head into the venue and collect at the end of the event. The contract start date is 1st April 2016 for an initial period of three years. There will be option to extend for up to a further 12 month period subject to ongoing satisfactory performance. Maximum contract length is 4 years.
